Tech Inspection

As you participate in a high-performance driving event, your car will be subjected to higher-than-normal stresses and heat for extended periods. It is important for your safety, and the safety of the other drivers, that your inspection is thorough and careful. Inspect your vehicle with this in mind. It is your responsibility to ensure your car is ready for the track.

Below is a list of the items you must check. 3 Balls Racing does not tech your vehicle at the track. You will be emailed a form to complete approximately a week before the event. That form will ask you to confirm you have completed an inspection of your vehicle. Completing that form is mandatory to get on track.

Helmet:

  • Driver and passenger must have a helmet with a SA2015 or newer rating (or FIA rating)
  • Motorcycle and DOT ratings are not accepted

General Condition of the Vehicle:

  • No excessive corrosion of body/chassis
  • No hanging sheetmetal
  • Doors must have working latches

Battery:

  • Must be tied down securely
  • No leaks

Brake Fluid:

  • Bleed brakes before the event
  • Use fluid suitable for track events based on boiling points and type
  • Reservoir at the correct level
  • Be able to bleed brakes at the track

Brake Pads:

  • Use pads suitable for track temperatures
  • Pads must have enough material for the day
  • Be able to inspect pads for wear at the track
