So I've decided to change things up. I pulled the 2zz out of the MRS and I'm prepping a Honda Engine to take it's place. For those who don't know it's called a Frankenstein Engine. It's a combination of two engines. K20Z3 cylinder head from the 2.0L Civic SI and the shortblock off a 04-08 Acura TSX 2.4L K24A2. I am pairing this with the Civic SI transmission which has factory install helical LSD. Previous HP with the Lotus 2zz was 189 whp. With a stock bottom end are expecting 240 whp. Once I build the bottom end we can expect to see dyno numbers around the 290-300 whp range on the NA engine. This will be a significant increase over the last engine and original 1zz engine at 120 whp. All the parts have been ordered am I'm just waiting for them to show up.

Old engine and trans has been pulled:

I think i've seen your MR2 at a couple of weekends at Grattan. 300whp will be pretty nuts on a light car like the MR2. How much does your MR2 weigh?

Studies show 100% of people die so you might as well have some fun while you're at it.

So approx 2 years and still building, I've ran into a snag. The wiring is give me some trouble because the systems from Toyota to Honda are entire different frequencies. Also I want the exhaust to be really strong anyone have any recommendation for someone to weld SS. I do have the gas mixture for welding SS.

I know a guy in Canada who specializes in welding custom exhausts and intakes. My neighbor does some to but he would need you to have everything fitted up and I am not sure how much free time he has.
